A live reader is another actor. They react to what you give them, bring their own energy, and can tell you what they saw. That is the main reason actors book human readers, and it is something an AI reader does not do.
The tradeoff is logistics. A live session depends on who is available, runs on a clock, and may cost money each time. Each reader also brings a different read, which keeps things fresh but can make takes harder to compare.
